Web 2.0 is the next stage of development of the World Wide Web. It is a change from the static web pages to now a more dynamic or user-generated content and considering the growth of social media.  Web 2.0 is focused on the ability for people to collaborate and share information online. Web 2.0 is more organized and is based on serving Web applications to users.

The Power and Peril of Web 3.0

The Semantic Web, often called Web 3.0, is for users to spend less time looking for information and more time using and participating with what they find.  Web 3.0 could be very useful in today's classroom.  Students can use Web 3.0 to find credible, relevant information in just a matter of time; cutting down on the time it would take on the regular web. Web 3.0 is an important next step in the world of technology. It will bring about many positive changes when it comes to using technology in education as well as the rest of the world. 

Web 2.0 Tool (Overview)

New way of creating, collaborating, editing, and sharing content online.  There is no need to download, and teachers and students can master many of the tools in just minutes. Technology will definitely be easier and accessible.

Presentation Tools - Share creative presentations that are beyond basic slides and bullet points.

Video Tools - Integrate videos into shared projects & presentations.

Mobile Tools - Turn cell phones into smart teaching tools via blogging or media sharing.

Community Tools - Wikis, Social network, it's all about collaborating & sharing.
